St. George, Utah--Where the summer sun spends the winter

Old highway 91 making its sweeping turn north past the Roadside market and on towards Santa Clara which seemed a hundred miles away.
Corner of boulevard and 300 East. Did the Atkins always own the Sugar loaf Cafe?

I think in 1958 Sid Atkin bought the Sugar Loaf Cafe from a guy named Mcdonald.

The Barlows bought the Liberty Hotel and Cafe along with the attached Western Auto store. Once in a while I would sleep over with Brett Barlow when we were in 4th grade. On weekdays I would often ride my bike to the cafe and have a free coke with Brett before we headed to the West Elementary.

I also remember this well! It was just by the swimming pool where I was a life guard and taught swimming lessons and also taught all of my boys how to swim. Good memories. Luvmom
